Knight effigy

St Mary’s parish church in Kingskerswell was built in the 14th century with additions in the 15th century and is on the site of an earlier chapel.

There are only a few examples of graffiti in the church. They are to be found on the effigies of Sir John Dinham and his two wives, c14th century. There is a saltire cross, some initials, two Marian marks (W and M) and an incomplete pentacle.
