What an absolutely fantastic #Roman tile: it's marked with #finger lines, hobnail #shoe prints, #dog's paw prints, and a #stamp of the LEG(io) XIIII G(emina).
Tiles with imprints are very common, since tiles were laid out to dry in the open air ahead of firing, where…1/2 pic.twitter.com/oKNhXxW9EF— Nina Willburger (@DrNWillburger) November 10, 2021
Fancy something a little different in your stocking this Christmas?
How about some medieval graffiti – as featured in the Christmas edition of BBC History Revealed magazine.https://t.co/EfsvNvGrJ7 pic.twitter.com/aieIurWYmD— Medieval Graffiti (@MedievalG) November 24, 2021
Here’s a lovely thing spotted during a (poorly planned, flying) visit to St Mary’s Eastry, #Kent: a Dominical circle inscribed on an inserted early 14th century pillar @MedievalG @graffitiKent https://t.co/jtephv3oH0 pic.twitter.com/5RLy5eOxHL

Any church graffiti experts out there? What looks like swaddled figures (babies?) all in one location. I haven't seen similar and would love to know if anyone else has. I have skimmed through Champion's Medieval Graffiti and didn't spot anything comparable pic.twitter.com/CDJsiS2WFe

The KMGS surveyed St Mary Cray on Thursday and found some more WWII aircraft. These are the best, a Lightning, a Spitfire, a Mosquito and a Tempest. There was also a Fairy Barracuda & sketches of Hitler, Himmler & various troops. pic.twitter.com/LE8gRWRi2b

A visit to St Mary’s Newington, #Kent to have a look at the #graffiti & inscriptions recorded by @graffitiKent. The pier in the chancel is pretty special #SpotTheEagle
