All Saints, Great Holland, Essex

All Saints, South Holland was built in the 15th and 16th centuries, however it was rebuilt in the 1860s.

This rebuild means that there is no visible graffiti in the body of the church. However this does not mean that there is no graffiti in the church. The pipe organ was installed in 1911 and the organ pumpers have left their names, loves and drawings on the back of it.

There are several drawings of people, mostly unflattering and a couple of horses. There are also some love hearts, proving once again that the back of the organ is where the good gossip is!

The rest of the graffiti is of names and initials. The dates are mainly from the 1950s.
